A very common problem while painting is that if you use an ordinary paint, a plastic film is used over the surface and the water is trapped in the wall. The issue of poor drainage makes water settle on the base and get sucked up by the capillary action via hairline cracks in the condition of rains or in situations of plastering or construction.
